Sobering Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, was founded in 1985 by Doug and Marlene Sobering. Sobering Funeral Chapel is now owned and operated by Elizabeth Siebold. Libby and her staff strive to provide personal and professional services to people of all faiths.
Sobering Funeral Chapel is a practical, fully equipped and attractive wheel-chair accessible facility for the community and surrounding area. The facility is licensed under Consumer Protection of Manitoba and bonded for at-need services as well as pre-arrangements.
The funeral home has gone through two expansions since opening: first doubling the capacity of the chapel to accommodate 450+ people and then in 1998, adding an on-site state-of-the-art crematorium.
Libby Siebold is very proud of her professional staff: office manager, funeral director and embalmer Rhonda Friesen McElroy; funeral directors and embalmers Bonnie Solylo, Greg Smith and Krystle Szalai; office administrators Helena Unwin and Heather Pearce; and funeral attendants Art Otto, Gordon Unwin, Michelle Shaw, Cheryl Shaw, Rhonda Loeb, Alvin Rueckert, Mark Pearce, Gerry Denisiuk, Alisher Penner, Tracey Wurch, Olivia Yascheshyn and Kathleen Davies. On-call 24/7, calls are answered personally by one of the staff in Beausejour.
Libby Siebold and her staff are honoured to serve the families that entrust them with the care of their family and loved ones.
