1940 ~ 2012
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather on Friday, June 1, 2012.
Alain was predeceased by his parents Louis-Philippe & Jeanette Majeau, and his infant grandson Nolan Mills. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 42 years, Adeline, daughter Chantal (Brad) Mills, son Joël (Debbie) Majeau, grandchildren Kienna, Nial, Briar Mills, Ashtyn Majeau and his brother Jean -Marc (Delores) Majeau.
Alain was born in Beaupré, Québec. He completed his schooling in Quebec before moving to Pine Falls, Manitoba in 1968. He was employed at the Abitibi Price/Pine Falls Paper Company as an instrument mechanic and later as the Safety and Training Officer. He retired in 1997 after 31.5 years of dedicated service to paper industry. Alain served as union president and on many local committees: including ambulance, water search & rescue to name a few.
His boisterous personality was hard to miss. Alain lived life his way and never apologized for it. He was the life of the party and always had a story to tell. He talked to everyone whether they listened or not. His enthusiasm was contagious. He enjoyed his retirement golfing and puttering around the house and yard; it didn’t matter if it was his, his kids, or his brother’s. He was his grandchildren’s loudest and proudest fan unless his Habs were playing!
Alain loved golfing and socializing and he went out swinging!
Alain’s Memorial Service will celebrated on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Notre Dame Du Laus Parish, Powerview, Manitoba. A private family viewing was held prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, if desired please donate to a charity of your choice.
