In loving memory of our mother, grandmother & great-grandmother, Alexandria, who passed away peacefully at the age of 95 at the Poseidon Care Centre in Winnipeg on November 22, 2016.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Beverley (Alvin) Stupak of Winnipeg and her son Jeffrey (Myung) Belton of Edmonton. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren: Cheryl (Alf) Weber and Wendy (Barry Fadden) of Winnipeg, Rob (Kathy) Belton and Bradley (Rhonda & family) Belton of St. Paul, AB and Leslie Belton of Edmonton. She will be forever remembered by her great-grandchildren Drew and Rachel Weber, Courtney (Jason), Wyatt and Madison Fadden as well as Maddyson Belton.
She was predeceased by her parents Michael and Xenia Kondratiuk, her son Mark Belton (1972), her daughter-in-law Rose Belton (2010) and her beloved dog of 18 years Ginger. Alexandria was the last surviving of ten siblings.
Alexandria was born April 27, 1921 in the R.M. of Brokenhead, MB and later as a young girl lived in Glenfields and Plumas MB. After her marriage in 1940 to Robert (Bob) Belton and numerous moves she settled back in Glenfields on the farm. In 1964 she and her family moved to Beausejour where she received her hair dressing license in 1969 and worked until 1986. She relocated to Winnipeg for her retirement. Alexandria loved gardening, painting with water colors and oils, dancing, astrology and reading tarot cards. She was a member of the Ukrainian Catholic Church and the Spiritualist Church.
The funeral service will be held at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Beausejour, MB on November 26, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. with viewing starting at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery.
