It’s with heavy hearts we had to let you go, we lost you to an awful thing called cancer. You left us peacefully and now are free of pain and illness.
Alvin leaves behind his loving family, his dedicated wife, Evelyn of 54 years, his beloved daughter Debbie (Wayne), precious grandsons Rory (Sandra); Brad (Kristin) and dearest great grandchildren Kayla, Campbell, Desiree and Ethan. Also Richard, Dave, Don (Carol), Garry (Evelyn), Jim (Edythe), Bernice, Carol, nieces and nephews.
We will remember you always, for your love of sports, fishing, and nature, to name a few.
Dad worked for Ray O Vac for 30 years, until the plant closed. Mom and Dad moved to Seven Sisters where dad worked as a security guard at URL till his retirement. Mom and Dad were presently living in Lac du Bonnet.
The family would like to thank Dr. Bruneau and the staff at Pinawa Hospital for their excellent care of dad over the years. You are an awesome group of people!
As per dad’s wishes, no formal service will take place. Flowers are gratefully declined, those wishing to, may make a donation in Alvin’s memory to a charity of your choice. A graveside memorial for family will take place at a later date.
God saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you and whispered,
“Come with Me.”
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to
Prove to use he only takes the best.
