Alvina Lussier

May 19, 1949 to April 29, 2010

Sadly on Thursday, April 29, 2010 Alvina passed away suddenly. She is survived by her companion Joe Tumak, her children Helen and David; grandchildren Darren (Florija), Deanna and Jessica; great-granddaughter Allison Zhupanic; brother Leo Hebert; sister Helen Dupuis (Ray) also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by parents Paul and Georgeline Hebert; sister Patricia Pirrie; brother Roy LaPlante and nephew Hugh Pirrie.

Alvina enjoyed bartending at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 164, hosting dinners for family and friends, knitting and puzzles.

A celebration of Alvina’s life will be held on Friday May 7 at 1:00 p.m. at the Notre Dame du Lac Catholic Church, Lac du Bonnet with Rev. Fr. Jose Montepeque presiding. Interment will follow in the Lac du Bonnet Cemetery.

The family would like to express our sincere appreciation to all the staff involved in caring for Alvina at Pinawa and St. Boniface Hospitals and the Paramedic Services.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alvina’s memory to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or Cancer Care Manitoba.
