1924 ~ 2017
Andrew Klym passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital on Friday, January 6, 2017 at the age of 92. He was surrounded by his wife Nellie, Betty Mamrocha and Adele Garbolinski.
He was predeceased by his parents Mike and Annie, his brothers Harry, John and Bill.
He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife of 63 years, Nellie (nee Mamrocha), his sister Pauline of Sicamous, BC, his brother Mike of Victoria, BC, sister in-law Rosie of Winnipeg, MB. As well, Andrew leaves numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws and extended family.
Andrew was born in Lowlands, MB. He spent most of his life working for Cowin Steel in Winnipeg. He also farmed and cut wood. He was passionate about the cemetery grass cutting for many years, particularly the Allegra and Lowland Cemetery.
A special thank you to Fr. Frank Szadriak, Fr. Michael Kwistkows, Fr. Taras Kowch, and Fr. Sean Cahlu for their care and support during this difficult time. In addition, a thank you to Adele, Betty, Dianne, Jim and Bonnie, Judy, Kelly, Rob and Marilyn Muir, Peter Vrabic and the doctors and staff at Seven Oaks Hospital, 3rd floor units 11 and 12 for all their care and compassion.
Pallbearers will be Brian Mamrocha, Glenn Honke, Derek Honkey, Randy Mamrocha, Roger Klym, and Jim Woligroski.
Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, January 14 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, 319 6th Street (Corner of 6th Street & Park Avenue), Beausejour with interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, Box 114, Beausejour, MB R0E 0C0 or to a charity of one’s choice.
