It is with deep sadness and sense of loss the family announces the passing of our Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Antonia Magura on Sunday, January 23, 2011.
Mom was born on March 7, 1912 on the Malko family homestead in Sapton, MB. She married Michael Magura on October 28, 1933 and together they farmed the family homestead until their retirement to Beausejour in 1977.
She will be remembered and sadly missed by sons Bernard (Marjorie), Rudy (Judy), Herb (Heather) and daughter Betty (Art) Heidinger; grandchildren Glenn (Tammy), Dean, Cameron (Kathy), Ken (Wendy), Denis (Joanne), Melanie (Chris) Bilenky; great grandchildren Michael, Jennifer, Darryl, Jessa, Jordyn, Braden, Anna, Haylee, Conor, Kevin, Leah and Kendall as well as extended family.
Mom was predeceased by her loving husband Michael, parent Dmytro and Anna Malko, grandchild Cynthia; brothers Steve and Fred and sisters Katie, Anne, Nettie and Mary.
The family would like to thank Drs. F. Zeiler and N. Van Rensburg and the staff at East Gate Lodge for their compassion and kindness to our Mom during her stay.
A Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 27 at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 28 at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 530 Atlantic Avenue, Beausejour with Rev. Fr. Charles Fillion presiding. Interment will follow in St. Mary Parish Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mom’s grandchildren Glenn Magura, Dean Magura, Cameron Magura, Ken Magura, Denis Magura and Chris Bilenky.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mom’s memory may be made to the Resident Council of East Gate Lodge, Box 1690, Beausejour, MB R0E 0C0 or a charity of your choice.
