1924 ~ 2014
With regret we announce the sudden passing of Arthur Kemball on January 29, 2014 at Sunnywood Personal Care Home. He was 90 years old.
Left behind are Linda (Barry), granddaughter Kimberley, grandson Kevin (Danièle) and great grandchildren Philip James, Julianne and Charlotte Grace. Also left to grieve are Arthur’s sisters Terry Wilcott and Hilda Moore, and many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
Arthur was predeceased by his beloved wife Bella, parents Cuthbert and Amy and brothers Edward, Alfred, Albert, Wilfred, Ernest, Donald and Richard; and sisters Mary, Margaret, and Dorothy.
Art was born in Thalberg, MB on January 11, 1924. Shortly thereafter, the Kemball clan moved to St. Georges. There he would meet his beloved Bella and marry her on May 10, 1948. Along with working at Abitibi for over 31 years, Art farmed in Stead, MB and cared for his cows on his and Bella’s place in St. Georges. Finally, Bella convinced Art to retire and they moved to Powerview. There, they would walk together, play cards and socialize with Art escaping to fish every once in a while.
We respectfully thank the staff of nurses and caregivers of Sunnywood P.C.H. for the love and care they bestowed on our dear Arthur. He could be a quiet and shy man sometimes, but you always found his smile.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 5 at 2:00 p.m. at Notre Dame du Laus Roman Catholic Church, Powerview, MB with Rev. Fr. James Gray. There will be a Rosary prior to Mass at 1:30 p.m. also at the Church.
In lieu of flowers, if family and friends so desire, donations can be made in Arthur’s name to the Sunnywood Resident Council, Box 2000, Pine Falls, MB R0E 1M0.
