It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Brendan Philip McKinley on August 24, 2024. Brendan was born on November 28, 1980, in Winnipeg. Too young at the age of 43, Brendan lost a short fight with cancer.
Brendan met the love of his life, Joan Bonifacio, when he was 25 years of age, they married in 2012 establishing a loving home in Crestview.
Brendan was known for his sense of humour and quick wittedness. He enjoyed doing miniature scale models, golfing, fishing, boxing, gardening, going to the shooting range and computer gaming. He built his own computer gaming system.
After graduating from River East Collegiate, he entered the work force as the shipper/receiver for D. Cohn Transcanada. Brendan worked for Transcona Lawn Service for many years on and off, then AGI VIS before working for SWS Detention Group as a warehouse manager. He had a very strong work ethic.
Brendan is survived by his wife, Joan (nee Bonifacio); parents Cynthia and Charles Goodman; sisters Heather Harms (Lloyd) and Victoria Harding; brother Gordon Goodman; nieces Abbey, Genevieve, Jordan, Jurilynn and Jurmella; nephews Aaron, Ben and Jurron; mother-in-law Josie Bonifacio; brother-in-law Glen Bonifacio (Karen), and sister-in-law Vanna Bonifacio (Jordan Weekes).
