Suddenly on a gorgeous Spring day, Bruce Andrews who just turned 70, my Best Time Ever, joined his Mom and Dad, Alice and Forrest.
Left with memories are his wife, Ingrid, his doggie and cat Genie and Uggie, his other Mom Inge Bauer, his brother and sister-in-law Michael and Norma, his two sisters and brothers-in-law Donna and John and Debbie and Wayne, and his sister-in-law Souada, along with many nieces and nephews and great-nephews.
Also left with memories are countless friends and brothers from another Mother.
Everyone who’s lives Bruce touched will remember his laughter and selfless giving.
Bruce is the most interesting person I have ever known. He had so much history within – from turning down his draft pick offer to try out as a goalie for the Winnipeg Jets – to his stories about cars, motorcycles, family and friends – all of which I asked him to constantly repeat. His favorite and mine was the one involving Gilbert and Bill, and a package of cigarettes.
His knowledge about things was brilliant. He was a journeyman electrician by trade, and could also fix just about anything – whether it was electronics, mechanical, appliances, plumbing, wood working – the list goes on. He was planning to build yet another barbeque. Learning something new for him was his joy.
We worked on lots of projects together, and never with any screaming or yelling. I was his “Terry,” and we always joked with teasing and banter, and ended the day with a nice cold beer.
Our last day together, as all days before, was wonderful.
My beautiful man, there will never be anyone like you. I love you, my Sweetie-Pie. Have a cold one ready for me when I come. I miss you so much.
If people wish to make donations to any food bank or animal shelter of your choice, Bruce would have liked this. Cremation has occurred. Private gatherings with family and friends will be held at some time in the future.
