It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Clarence Arthur Pischke. Clarence died peacefully at home on August 25, 2024. He was predeceased by his parents Rudolf and Caroline, his daughter Dawn and son-in-law Jeff. He is survived by his loving wife, Gail, his two daughters, 5 grandchildren and brother, Harvey.
Clarence was born in Whitemouth, MB but farm life was not his calling. Clarence lived & breathed Scotiabank. His career as a Banker spanned 45 yrs. and took him all over Canada and to New York City! Clarence & Gail chose Winnipeg to settle down, where they put down roots and started a family.
Clarence & Gail celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary on July 11, 2024.
Upon retirement, Clarence wanted to give back to his community. This led him to The Lion’s Club of Winnipeg and eventually to St. Boniface Hospital. Clarence devoted 24+ yrs. of volunteer services. In addition, he maintained an active role within the Whitemouth community; from walking in the local parade, to selling tickets at pancake breakfast, or organizing a horseshoe tournament, he was always willing to lend a hand wherever needed.
Clarence was a force! His outgoing personality, humor and quick wit made him one of a kind. His spontaneity and love for adventure made him unpredictable & entertaining. Never a dull moment. He was a great man, a devoted husband, an incredible father, a nurturing & caring grandfather, and he was a dear friend to those that knew him.
Despite health challenges over the past year, his spirit remained happy and strong. He never complained. He endured by drawing strength from those around him. His family & friends meant the world.
The family would like to thank all the homecare workers who provided exceptional care & compassionate support.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 1:30PM at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Whitemouth, MB.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Redeemer Lutheran Church.
