Clayton Kenneth McMurren, (Clay the Clipper, Jerry) passed away on September 24, 2023, in the comfort of his own home in Pinawa, MB surrounded by family, at the age of 77. Clay always enjoyed life to the fullest, and spending time with people was what he enjoyed the most.

His legacy includes his beloved children; Tyson (Corinne), Chad, Carrie, and Brigitte; and his grandchildren, Sadie, Chloe, Connor and April gave him so much joy.

Clayton (Jerry), the youngest of 14 children was born on September 8, 1946, on the McMurren farm in Woodslee, Ontario, and he was the kind of brother that made life an adventure. Dear brother of Elgin (Phyllis), Audrey Stanley, Dave (Joanne), and Victor (Pat). Clayton is predeceased by his parents, Walter and Wilma; his sisters, Joy and Gail; his brothers, Bill, Don, John, Nelson, Steve, Douglas, and Roy; his sisters-in-law, Vera, Rena, Ruby, and Marie; his brother-in-law Harold Stanley; as well as his stepsister Jean and her husband Don Roberts.

Clayton leaves behind a countless number of his “Fav” nieces and nephews, who will undoubtedly carry on his legacy of laughter and love.

Clayton loved the community that he lived in and served on Council in Pinawa, MB and while he lived in Stony Mountain, he was on Council for the RM of Rockwood, MB. He was also a lifetime member of the Kinsmen Club and was involved in fundraising for many years.

Clay the Clipper was an outstanding barber and learned how to cut hair at the age of 13. For forty-eight years he owned Clayton’s Hairstyling at Polo Park in Winnipeg. So many of his clients became life-long friends.
