November 28, 1943 – September 14, 2022
Peacefully at Sunnywood Manor, with her family by her side, Darlene passed away.
Our wife, mother, grandmother and sister is survived by her daughter Kim (Neil), and her one and only granddaughter Chelsea Rae; she called her Chel. She is also survived by two brothers, Ted (Cheryl) Pichor and Max (Kathy) Pichor, sisters in-law Cathy Danyluk and Shirley Cyr, brother in-law Ken (Sharon) Cyr, sister-in-law Irene Kemball and close friend Judy Leroy, as well as many nieces, nephews and godchildren, too many to mention.
She was predeceased by her husband Ernie, daughter Sharol and brother Eddie.
Mom married the love of her life at 18. They had 53 years together and did everything together until Dad’s passing. She worked at The Bay/Northern Store for many years until her retirement. She was known as the “Bologna Wrapper” and was proud of it. She was a strong, vocal lady with a heart of gold. She loved to cook and have people over for wine and socializing; it’s 5 o’clock somewhere.
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Notre Dame du Laus Roman Catholic Cemetery, Broadlands.
Offer Condolence for the family of Darlene “Dee Dee” Cyr (nee Pichor)
