David Dennis Smyrski

David Smyrski passed away peacefully at Pinawa Hospital on Friday, December 13, 2024 at the age of 76.

He was predeceased by his parents Anton and Bernice Smyrski, 15 of his siblings, and the light and joy of his life, his daughter Sherri-Lynn Smyrski who passed in 2020 which left an immeasurable void in his life.

He will be remembered by his sister Audrey Roy, brothers Norman (Joanne) and Brian (Laurie), sister in-law Agnes Smyrski and Sherri-Lynn’s mom Janice. In addition, he leaves numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

David enjoyed operating heavy equipment; he was employed by the R.M. of Lac du Bonnet and the Province of Manitoba where he ran the grater, drove trucks and other various equipment. He took pride in keeping the roads passable. He also did long-haul trucking across North America. He loved going to Auction Sales, finding treasures to tinker with in his shop.

As per David’s request, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
