It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Diana Kim Macauley (nee Ledwos) with her loved ones by her side on October 18, 2024, at the Beausejour Hospital.
Diana will be lovingly missed by her husband Colin Macauley, of 30 years, step-daughter Trina (Edem), grandchildren Amari & Nya, step-son Cory (Jody), grandchildren Sarah and Andrew; siblings Sharon, Bev (Donny), Leonard, Kevin (Brenda), Jeff (Joanne), Ricky (Susie); and in-laws Terry (Dennis), Larry (Lorraine), Miles (Colleen), Scott (Harvey) and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She had a special place in her heart with her niece Ashley.
Diana was predeceased by her father Leonard, mother Joyce and brother in law Nelson (Kris) and sister in law Bonnie.
Diana was born October 6, 1957 and grew up in Selkirk, Manitoba. She attended school until her graduation and went into the field of accounting. Growing up with her brothers and sisters, there was never a dull moment. She enjoyed every minute of it.’
She loved spending her time at the lake with Colin & numerous family and friends. The cabin in Manigotagan was her happy place and they went out there any chance they could. She loved the outdoors and could often be found tending to her flowers and garden at home. Diana loved her pets and took in any stray that found their way to her.
Diana & Colin were able to travel and see many parts of the world. Their travels included trips to Europe, various road trips, fishing adventures, and cruises, which she enjoyed immensely and was so looking forward to this January.
Diana was proud to be the vice president of the Tyndall Curling Club for ten years, and was the first female president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3386, a position which she held until her passing.
Her smile, laughter and hugs will be missed by everyone who knew her.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at Sobering Funeral Chapel at 2:00pm with internment to follow at the Tyndall Cemetery.
