WHEN I AM GONE, RELEASE ME, LET ME GO
I HAVE SO MANY THINGS TO SEE AND DO
YOU MUST NOT TIE YOURSELF TO ME WITH TEARS
BE HAPPY I HAVE HAD THESE YEARS ~
I GAVE YOU MY LOVE, YOU CAN ONLY GUESS
HOW MUCH YOU GAVE ME IN HAPPINESS
I THANK YOU FOR THE LOVE EACH HAVE SHOWN
BUT NOW IT IS TIME I TRAVELLED ON ALONE ~
Entered into eternal rest on the late afternoon of June 23, 2017, Domenico Di Clemente, son, brother, father and grandfather and friend faced his task with courage until the end and now will never suffer again.
Domenico was born October 29, 1955 in Beausejour, Manitoba, the son of Annina (Anna) Di Clemente and the late “Sam” Di Clemente. He attended Lac du Bonnet Senior School and graduated in 1973. For several years while in high school and following graduation he worked with the LdB Springfield Leader. In 1982 he relocated to reside in Pointe du Bois, MB where he began a family and accepted employment with Winnipeg Hydro/Manitoba Hydro. He retired in 2009 at which time he returned to LdB and lived his life until this untimely passing. Domenico carried himself with a quiet dignity. His character included a very kind heart. He unselfishly gave his time and support, totally devoted to his loved ones including strangers. He had a quick wit and will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him.
Domenico is survived by his mother Anna, sister Linda Di Clemente (Simons), three daughters Gina Di Clemente Suwala (Andrew), Jennifer Di Clemente Armstrong (Brent) and Kristen Di Clemente, four grandchildren Jasmine, Hunter, Lagandon and DeClan. His closest and dearest friend, Trent Shier. Five aunts Doretta Cona of Toronto, from Winnipeg Lucy Giancola, Ida Furlan, Maria Quiering (Jerry), Tonie Dakin. Three uncles Carmine Forte, Nicole Forte (Anna) and Aldo Forte (Sherri). Too special to individually name are numerous cousins, in-laws and friends of Domenico’s.
Domenico was predeceased by his father Sebastiano (Sam) Di Clemente, brother-in-law Montague Simons, maternal grandparents Guiseppe Forte and Maria Forte, paternal grandparents Domenico Di Clemente and Maria Di Clemente. Aunt Giulia Di Clemente of Italy. Uncles Domenico Cona of Toronto, from Winnipeg Giovanni Giancola and Ottavio Furlan.
SO GRIEVE A WHILE FOR ME, IF GRIEVE YOU MUST
THEN LET YOUR GRIEF BE COMFORTED BY TRUST
IT IS ONLY FOR A WHILE THAT WE MUST PART
SO BLESS THE MEMORIES IN YOUR HEART ~
I WILL NOT BE FAR AWAY, FOR LIFE GOES ON
SO IF YOU NEED ME, CALL AND I WILL COME ~
THOUGH YOU CANNOT SEE OR TOUCH ME, I WILL BE NEAR
AND IF YOU LISTEN WITH YOUR HEART, YOU WILL HEAR
ALL OF MY LOVE AROUND YOU SOFT AND CLEAR
THEN, WHEN YOU MUST COME THIS WAY ALONE
I WILL GREET YOU WITH A SMILE AND A WELCOME HOME ~
