Douglas Keith Donahue

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Douglas Keith Donahue on May 8, 2024 at the age of 73. He passed peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital with family by his side.  Doug is survived by his wife Evelyn (nee Schindel), his three sons, Sean, Bradley and Kyle (Shelby), three grandchildren and brother, David.  He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Marie Donahue.

Doug was born on June 4, 1950 in Selkirk, MB.  He grew up and spent all of his life in the town of Beausejour.  In 1977 he married the love of his life Evelyn, and together they started a family.  Doug was a lifelong musician who played a variety of instruments in multiple bands. He also had a love of technology.  He was one of the pioneers of the internet with MTS where initially he was the only employee in that department.  Doug was an avid reader who loved history books, especially the history of Manitoba.  More than anything he loved his family.  He cherished every moment that they spent together.

Anyone who knew Doug would know that his wit and humour was second to none.

A memorial service will be held at Sobering Funeral Chapel in Beausejour, MB on May 17th at 2PM.
