It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edith Joan Bryk, beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, who left us on September 27th at the Health Sciences Centre.

Edie was born in Pine Falls, Manitoba on December 16, 1946. She was the youngest daughter to Tony and Theresa Kochanowski, and grew up on a farm outside Landerville along with her two older sisters. At age 11, her father passed away and the family moved to Lac du Bonnet.

In 1962, she married Bill Bryk and in 1965 they welcomed their son Stuart.

Edie began her career with Robinson, then The Bargain Shop, where she worked and managed for over 45 Years until her retirement in 2010. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed sewing for all her family and friends. In her retirement years, Edie enjoyed puzzles, coffee outings with her group of friends, and of course her beloved cats.

Edie was proceeded by her father, Tony, mother Theresa, stepfather John, sister Gail, brother-in-law Leo, brother-in-law Frank, and nephew Tony.

She is survived by her son Stuart, sister Judy, stepsister MaryAnne and stepbrother Jim.

Edie will be laid to rest beside her mother and father in the Lac du bonnet cemetery. In keeping with her wishes, no service will be held.

We will always remember your kind heart and loving spirit.
