Her parents, siblings and spouses have passed before her and are welcoming her home to her place in Heaven. Many nieces and nephews are saddened by the loss of their Aunty. She would frequently reminisce about the family who have gone before her, even as her memory would fade.
Dad and Mom were happily married for 70 years, before his passing on September 11, 2016. They were childhood sweethearts who walked hand in hand from ages 9 and 7 and for the rest of their lives together. The built their life and family together, beginning in Holland and continuing in Canada.
In respect for her wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no formal gathering.
The family home will be receiving guests on August 6 & 7, 2022, for family and friends who wish to drop by, pay respects, have a cup of coffee and a cookie, share a memory, or a story. A guest book will be available.
In lieu of flowers Mom’s request was that a donation can be made in her honour to the IERHA – Whitemouth Personal Care Home. She was instrumental in the establishment of this Care Home in her hometown.
