Eugene Stefaniuk

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Eugene Stefaniuk. Eugene passed peacefully on August 31, 2024 at Selkirk Regional Health Centre with family at his side.

Eugene was born a twin on April 10, 1938 in Allegra, MB to the late John & Mary Stefaniuk.

Eugene was predeceased by his first wife, Patricia, second wife, Eleanor, his son, Curtis, his sister and four brothers.

Eugene was a gentle, honest and hard working man. Being a self-employed general contractor he worked long hard hours providing for his family. Always proud of his accomplishments, being a backyard mechanic and building three family homes and a cottage at Bird River where many family memories were made.

Through his work & leisure, Eugene loved to travel with family and friends on many camping adventures, cruises and to numerous hot spot destinations.

Eugene always enjoyed being with friends, family and was at his happiest with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, all of whom he was very proud of. Eugene was much loved and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his daughter, Coleen (Terry), grandchildren, Matthew (Hillary), Leah (Justin), Courtney, Chris (Sammi), Derek, Reid, seven great grandchildren and stepdaughter Lorene (Mike) and daughter in-law Elaine (Ron); as well as numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday September 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour. Interment will follow at Beausejour Cemetery.
