Frank Wazny

December 22, 1934 to September 10, 2010

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Frank Wazny on September 10, 2010. He will lovingly be remembered by his wife of 54 years, Adeline, daughters Cindy (Ken), Carol (Kyle), four grandchildren Bryce, Brenden, Dylan and Macy. He is survived by his brother Richard, sister-in-law Susan, sister-in-law Phyllis, sister-in-law Verna (Nick).

Frank was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Mary, parents-in-law Frank and Mary, sister Mary, brothers Walter, Leo, Edward, Eugene and Max.

Frank was born on December 22, 1934 in Brightstone, Manitoba. In 1960 they built their home in Lac du Bonnet where they have since resided. Frank worked as a salesman for Weston Bakeries Ltd. for 29 years, retiring at 55 and then serving as a Lac du Bonnet Town Councilor for 12 years. He enjoyed his retirement spending time with family and friends.

Together, they raised their two daughters, Cindy and Carol. Dad was always there to talk or help them with whatever he could, his girls were always a priority. He was proud of his son-in-laws Ken and Kyle as they take very good care of his daughters and grandchildren. His grandchildren were his pride and joy, he was very proud of their accomplishments. He spent most of his winter weekends at some arena watching all three boys play hockey. Grandpa especially loved driving and coaching his eldest grandson Bryce when he played for the Eastman Junior Selects. His only granddaughter Macy was his little princess, he was so happy for her accomplishments in her first year of gymnastics. Frank and Adeline did everything together, even if it meant mom was just standing there. They enjoyed many vacations together. Dad enjoyed his daily coffee with his friends at the “round table” and dinners with his family. We will miss him greatly.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 16 at 1:00 p.m. at the Notre Dame du Lac Roman Catholic Church, Lac du Bonnet, MB.
