December 9, 1935 ~ February 21, 2022
Gordon Krebs passed away peacefully at the Beausejour District Hospital at the age of 86.
He is survived by his children: Loretta (Ken), Rhonda (Otto), Natalie, Brenda (Ken), Wendy (David), Susan (Jacques), Beatrice (Derrick), Audrey (Les), Todd, Bernice (Robert), Leanne (Roger), 18 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife Alice, daughter Terry, his parents Fred and Molly Krebs; his sisters, Violet, Olga, Ruth, Margaret, Wanda and Doreen; his brothers, George and Ron.
Dad was born December 9, 1935 in Beausejour, Manitoba and was the middle child of 9 siblings.
He started his work career in the mid 1950’s with Silverwood Dairies until he moved to the Krebs family dairy farm in 1958 where he owned and operated Cadbury Holsteins Ltd. until 1989. He worked at Fort Garry Place in sales until he retired.
During his farming years he served on the Manitoba Milk Producers’ Marketing Board for 12 years as Executive, Vice-Chairman and President respectfully.
Dad loved to talk to people and share his stories and opinions. If he sat down and started a conversation, you knew it would be 2 hours later before it was time to leave. He enjoyed gardening, taking care of the farm yard, Sundays drives touring the nearby farmland and watching Toronto Maples Leaf games.
We would like to thank the health care team at Beausejour District Hospital for their care during his final days.
A special thanks to Pastor Daren Gallivan for his compassion and visits with Dad.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Beausejour Hospital T.V. Fund, Box 1614, Beausejour, MB R0E 0C0.
