Helen Swirski (Nee Zaborniak)

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother Helen Swirski on Monday, August 12, 2019 at East Gate Lodge in Beausejour at the age of 84.

She was predeceased by her parents Wladslav and Julia, brother Joseph and her husband Mike Swirski.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children Ron (Anna), Michael (Marilyn), Peter and Christine (Doug). She is also survived by her grandchildren Felicia, Doug Jr., Dee Dee and Perry.

Helen was born in Wola Wielka, Poland on November 19, 1934 and moved to France with her family at the age of 2.  She immigrated to Canada in November 1951, settling, marrying and raising her family with Mike on the family farm in Manitoba.

The family would like to thank the staff at Gimli Hospital and East Gate Lodge for the care and compassion they showed towards our mother.

Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, August 17 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Garson, MB with interment to follow in the Tyndall Cemetery.  Prayers will be said on Friday, August 16 at 7:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour.
