Helmar L. Ostrom

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Helmar Ostrom of Powerview, Manitoba on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at the age of 84. 

Helmar will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years Grace, his children Dee (Greg), Shelley (Claude), Bonnie (Trevor), and Leonard (Cindy), 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

Helmar was a devoted father, grandfather and mentor. He loved music, hockey, fishing and tending to his fruit trees.

Many thanks to Jessie and all the staff at Pine Falls Hospital for their care and compassion.

As per Helmar’s request, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
