1933 - 2024
It is with heavy hearts we announce that Henri, Dad, Grand-père, Grand grand-père, friend, left us peacefully in his sleep with family by his side. He is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Juliette; children Claudette (Butch), Paulette, Denis (Laurie), Louis (Val); 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; brothers Edgar (Jackie), Philippe (Léa), Maurice (Linda) and sister-in-law Noëlla; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Albert and Clara; brother Raymond; sisters (husbands) Rita (Edouard), Lucie (Aimé), Noëlla (Stanley).
Henri was very active in his Catholic faith. He was a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. He was on the committee at the Musée de St- Georges and became a life-long member of the museum. Henri and Juliette donated land to the Lions Club for everyone to enjoy, known as Lions Park in Powerview-Pine Falls. He volunteered his time and services in the community. He was a very kind and generous man and always ready to help family, friends, acquaintances and also strangers.
We would like to thank all the staff at Sunnywood Manor for their care and compassion over the past two years. We sincerely thank everyone who visited him; he deeply appreciated the conversations and laughs.
A funeral service will be at held at Notre Dame du Laus Roman Catholic Church in Powerview-Pine Falls, MB on Saturday, August 3rd. Prayers at 10:30am followed by Mass at 11am.
