1933 ~ 2013
Irma passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, just shy of her 80th birthday on March 30, 2013. She is now at Len’s side watching over all of her family.
Irma was predeceased by; her husband Leonard, her brothers Raymond and Albert, her parents Ludwig and Lydia Zirk and many brothers and sisters-in-law from the Young family.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son Allan and Alice and her white ball of fur, Daisy.
She is also missed by her sisters Alma and Ron Loeb, Leona and Robert Stubel, brother-in-law Harold and Edna Klann, sister-in-law Inez Young and brother-in-law Chuck Kramble. She held dear in her heart many nieces and nephews and their families.
When she was younger she worked at Hoban’s restaurant, and then devoted all her time and energy to taking care of Len and Allan.
Irma was devoted to her family. She loved visiting with nieces, nephews and family members and proudly displayed many photos of them. She enjoyed gardening and especially liked to sit on a sunny afternoon and watch her garden grow. Evenings out with the girls playing Bingo, trying to guess the prices on the “Price is Right” and sorting out the trials and tribulations of “Coronation Street” and “The Young and Restless” filled her later years.
A funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5 at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour with viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment followed in the Beausejour Town Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations are kindly accepted to East Gate Lodge in Beausejour. A special thank you to the staff of East Gate Lodge, Rose Unit for all their care and compassion in looking after mom. You are all truly angels.
