John Shack

May 11, 1945 – September 12, 2010

Mr. John Gregory Shack, aged 65 years, of Beausejour, dearly beloved husband of Gertie (Ewasko) passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at Beausejour Hospital.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Gertie, daughter Lisa Pescetelli, sons Mike Fiebelkorn, Jay Fordyce and Wilbur Shack, grandchildren J.J., Matthew, Courtney, Kyle, Sarah, Dylan and Caileigh. He is also survived by brother David of Winnipeg and sister Ann (Ken James) of Winnipeg also many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his father John in 1974, mother Julia in 1986 and brother George in 1944.

John was a man of many talents whether it was snowmobile racing, hauling gravel or asphalt, building anything of metal, his last building of wood, which he enjoyed, or his wooding clearing projects. This man was not one to say “no” to anyone who needed help.

A memorial service will be celebrated on Thursday, September 16 at 2:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel with Rev. Deacon Bill Woodbeck officiating.

In lieu of flowers, if friends and family desire, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
