It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Father, Ken Otto after a short battle with cancer. Mourning his passing are, his sons Jason (Leanna) and Blaine; Grandchildren Hannah and Sarah; Foster Son Tyler. Ken also leaves to mourn his mother, Beverly; Brothers Randy and Carl; Sister-in-law Janelle Carlson (Mike) and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Dad was predeceased by his wife Eileen; Father Clarence; Step-Father George Fischer; In-laws George and Evelyn Dodds.
Dad was born in Beausejour to Clarence and Beverly Otto. He loved life on the farm, however, he took a different career path. Dad became a truck driver for 39 years. He was proud of his million-mile award with Yanke Transfer. He drove for Burns, Naaykens, Nardai and finished off his trucking career at Barnhart Transport. Dad loved building model trucks and trailers, collecting die cast trucks, cars and farm equipment.
The family would like to thank Dr. John Hannah, Selkirk Regional Health Centre, Beausejour Health Centre and the Palliative and Home Care programs for the compassionate care Dad received. We would also like to thank Dad’s partner Frances Kerbat for her companionship and care in their 11 months together. Your kindness will not be forgotten.
Cremation has taken place and a graveside service has been held.
