1936 ~ 2015
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Beverley Germain at the age of 79 on July 11, 2015. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 56 years, David, her children Lawrence (Carolyn), and Michelle (Tim). She leaves her legacy of kindness and gentle ways to her grandchildren Maxwell, Mikaela, Quinn, Bradley, and Owen.
She will also be remembered with love by her sister in-laws Madeleen, Lorraine, Joyce, and brothers in-law Louis and Chuck. One of her fondest titles was “Aunty Bev” and will be remembered fondly by numerous nieces and nephews.
Beverley was predeceased by her parents Olga and Otto Voss, brothers Clarence, Lloyd, and sister Diane. Beverley was born in Golden Bay, Manitoba. She was the oldest of four siblings and helped with the family farm and raising of the family. She spent her early adult life in Winnipeg working in the sewing factory industry. She met and found the love of her life David Germain in Beausejour and married June 27, 1959. They settled in Beausejour to raise their family and create so many wonderful memories. They enjoyed their life together and spending time at the cottage or camping, where they met lifelong friends and spent many evenings playing cards with friends and family. Even though Mom’s health deteriorated in the last few years she cherished these times.
Our Mom had a great love and natural talent for entertaining and no one ever went away from the table hungry. The best of the best was her sweet treats including black forest cake, strawberry shortcake and puff wheat cake. She strived to be the best at being Mom and wife and she succeeded. Mom took pride in her home and her number one priority was always her family. She was a gentle kind soul who spoke softly and her laughter would light up her eyes. Mom had a strong devotion to family which has left a lasting imprint and we are so grateful we have had the gift of her time, attention and her unconditional love for her children and grandchildren. She attended hockey games, dance recitals and music concerts. Her grandchildren were the brightness in her world and she was their biggest cheerleader.
Mom, you will always be remembered, always loved. We can never thank you for the gifts you have given us.
The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Schmidt, the IERHA Ambulance Service and Beausejour RCMP for their compassion and care during a difficult time.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 403 First Street North, Beausejour, with viewing 1 hour prior at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Beverley’s memory to the Beausejour Association for Community Living, 917 Park Ave, Beausejour, MB R0E 0C0.
Offer Condolence for the family of Lorraine BEVERLEY Germain (nee Voss)
