It’s with broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of Norman Stanford Clarke on November 26, 2024 at Pine Falls Hospital.
Norman was predeceased by his parents Stanford and Edith Clarke, as well as sisters Nora Solinsky, Sheila Montreuil and very recently Alice Meade.
Norman leaves to mourn his wife and best friend Joanne, sons Kevin (Trina) and Shawn (Amber), stepchildren Jaclynn and Mitchell (Chelsea), grandsons Collin, Brody, Jayden, Shay, and Ryder as well as his only granddaughter Madison, sisters Myrna, Patricia, Helen, Louise (Linsey), Diane, Dorothy, Donna (Jerome), Loretta (Wayne) and Carol (Paul), brothers Mickey (Ericka) and Wayne, brother-in-law Ron (Marlene), and sister-in-law Janet (Cameron). Norman will also be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Norman’s passion was being outdoors; from hunting and fishing to just camping, he was always happy outside. In his last few years, in warm weather, Norman was outside on his scooter around town visiting or on his lawn mower working on his yard. His greatest passion was the grandchildren! He was the happiest hearing stories from the older ones and taking the young ones on scooter rides. Nothing put a smile on his face faster than seeing them pull into the yard. Next to them was his dogs. If he was outside, he usually had his dogs with him. He spoiled them and treated them like children. They will miss him greatly.
Norman was born and raised in Manigotogan, Manitoba and lived there until his family moved to Lac du Bonnet in the 60’s. He always enjoyed his visits back to Manigotogan but Lac du Bonnet was his home. It’s where he raised his boys.
