Phyllis Dreger

The family of Phyllis Dreger (nee Meisner) sadly announces her passing on April 21, 2025, at the age of 92, with her daughters by her side.

Phyllis was predeceased by her husband, Ralph, in August 2017. She will be remembered by her children, Doug (Carolle), Debbie, Diana (Rob), 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Phyllis was born on the family farm in Whitemouth, sister to Betty Alstadt, Al Meisner, Fran Honke and Lenore Clayton.

After College, mom taught at Lonely Dale School then worked at a Bank in Beausjour. After our family moved to the city, mom worked at Acklands, Eaton’s mail order and retired from Kildonan East Regional Secondary School. Throughout all her years, mom maintained the friendships she made, which lasted her lifetime!

We will all remember her by the gifts of her beautiful crocheted blankets, baking, lush flower gardens and her joy of shopping! Mom and dad cherished the winters they spent in Mesa, Arizona with all of the friends they made.

Her family will always be grateful for the exceptional care Phyllis received at Riverside Lions Supportive Housing over the last 3 years. Special thank you to Nora and Theresa.

A private family service has been held to celebrate her.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly appreciates donations be made to The Alzheimer’s Society.
