1932 ~ 2013
Robert Albert Loesch passed away peacefully on Friday, April 26th with his wife and stepdaughter by his side.
Bob was born in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta on June 13, 1932.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Diane; daughters: Robyn Gunn, Richelle Pereira (Paul); sons: Randy, Rodney (Susan); stepdaughters: Andrea Schoffner (Perry), Carrie Onofreychuk; grandchildren: Rodney and Ryan Bloomer (Lisa), Anthony, Aaron, Justin and Jenna Pereira, Amy and Michael Loesch, Daena Monk (Kevin); step grandchildren: Ashton and Brent Schoffner; and great great grandson William Monk.
Bob had a long and great career, starting in the meat business. He owned his own business in Calgary, AB. and then went on to work for the grocery chain “Shop Easy”. This took him to Regina, Falcon Lake, and later to Winnipeg, where he retired from the Codville Company in February of 1979, after 30 years as a Business Manager. He retired to Pinawa, as he always enjoyed the area.
A man of strong character, a generous soul and forgiving spirit, he enjoyed the company of family and friends, exhibiting understanding and compassion. He lived by the philosophy “lead by example” and could always be counted on to provide wise and generous counsel. Deeply admired, he was looked upon with esteem for his fairness, forthright approach and empathy for all. With a passion for adventure, he shared travel with his wife throughout Canada, United States, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
Service was held at Sobering Funeral Chapel on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Canadian Diabetes Association, 200-310 Broadway Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6, or Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2, in Bob’s name.
