Roger Portman

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved partner, father and grandfather, Roger Portman, who passed away peacefully on September 12, 2024 in Pinawa at the age of 84.

Roger was predeceased by his wife Ann (nee Vlemmiks) and will be lovingly remembered by his partner Belva, daughters Tina (Barry), Deb (Mark), and Kate (Dave), as well as his granddaughters Samantha and Anna.

Roger was born on February 21, 1940 in Timperley, Cheshire, England and immigrated to Canada in 1968, finally settling in Pinawa with his family.

Many thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Pinawa Hospital for all the care and compassion they showed towards our father.

As per Roger’s request, cremation has taken place and a private celebration of life will be held for immediate family.

Roger had a love for animals and the family would request to honour his memory by showing compassion for an animal in need.
