It is with deep love and affection the family of Rose Stark announce her peaceful passing into the arms of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ at the Whitemouth Personal Care Home in Whitemouth, MB.
Rose was born in Seven Sisters Falls, MB. Rose married Alexander Maron on October 17, 1938. She was widowed with two children in the year 1945. She met Jacob Stark and married him on April 17, 1948. They had one son. Jake passed away February 22, 2008.
Rose and Jake farmed in the Whitemouth area until they retired and moved into Whitemouth in October of 1978. They enjoyed their retirement years, especially travelling with their children.
Even while farming Mom taught music lessons to many children. Rose was very active in her church, Whitemouth Ladies Hospital Auxiliary and community. Rose played the organ in various churches for 70 odd years. Rose had a strong belief in Christ. Her faith gave her the strength to live her life through many trials and tribulations.
Rose was predeceased by her parents Richard and Ida Noel, 6 sisters and 1 brother and is survived by 1 sister, Lee (Orest). Rose will be lovingly remembered by her children Eunice (George), Melvin (Jocelyn), Dennis (Ingrid), grandchildren Brian (Val) Kunkel, Larry (Nancy) Kunkel, Sherryl Sawatzky, Colin (Susan) Stark and Jeremy (Cheryl) Maron and great grandchildren Amanda and Candace Kunkel, Kyle, Jordon, Mark and Graeme Kunkel, Matthew, Kristen, and Nicholas Sawatzky, Dylan and Taylor Stark and Jacob Maron and predeceased by granddaughter Denise.
The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff of the Whitemouth Personal Care Home for their warm and loving care, also for the many visits of family and friends. Special thanks to Pastor Richard Engel for his spiritual support.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, September 30 at 3:30 p.m. with viewing at 2:30 p.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in River Hills, MB. Prayer Service will be held on Wednesday, September 28 at 7:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Ave. E., in Beausejour, MB.
Flowers are gratefully declined; if friends so desire, donations in memory of Rose Stark may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, Box 73, River Hills, MB R0E 1T0.
