Shirley Fuhl (nee Carlson)

Shirley Fuhl (nee Carlson) passed away peacefully on July 14th, 2024, with her family by her side at the age of 87. 

She was predeceased by her husband Wilfred, son Brian, parents Charles and Frieda, siblings Eileen, Leslie and Eric.

Shirley is survived by her five children, Sharan Waterman (Brad), James Fuhl (Ursula), Rosemarie Fuhl (Donald Tricco), Beverly Swimm (Bill), and Valerie Goodby (Brad); her grandchildren Amber, Brittany, Donovan, Kristina, Jason, Dalton and Chelsea and great-grandchildren Chloe and Brody. She is also survived by sisters Diana, Violet and brother Floyd and many nieces and nephews. 

Shirley was born in Selkirk on July 3, 1937. She met her husband Wilfred and got married in 1961. Living in town for a couple years they moved to the farm in 1966 where she raised her family of 6.

Shirley loved gardening, cooking, farming and her family. She loved collecting horse ornaments, salt and pepper shakers and antiques. As a pastime she enjoyed word search puzzles, picture puzzles, and crafts. 

We would like to thank the staff of Bethesda Regional Health Centre for their care and support.  A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at the Red Deer Cemetery in the R.M. of Lac du Bonnet.

 In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the cancer society.
