January 8, 1940 – May 28, 2015
With sadness we would like to announce the unexpected passing of our father, grandfather and brother, Steve Hrynchuk on May 28, 2015.
Steve is survived by his son Stephen Hrynchuk, and step-children Danny, Kim (Jamie) and Kelly (Bonnie) and his very special grandchildren, Dylan, Hailie, Kenzie and Kady. His siblings Jack, Dave, Joey, Joyce, Betty, Helen, and Kathy, and their families.
Steve was predeceased by his best friend and wife Marlene, his parents Annie and Michael and his siblings Don and Dorothy.
Steve was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Steve enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He would enjoy the quiet solitude when he went berry picking, or just reading a book. He would enjoy the hours he would spend in the garage doing mechanical repairs for the many people who came to him for his expertise or spending time on one of his many woodworking projects. He would spend hours on the many beautiful bird houses he built and shared with many of his friends and family. Much of the wood that he used to build his wood masterpieces came from his hard work and dedication with the use of his sawmill. Many hours would be spent in the bush gathering the trees he would require, and much more dedication of his time went into milling the wood for his personal use. In the last 10 years, his constant and faithful companion, Penny, would always be by his side.
Steve would light up when he was able to spend time with his grandchildren and loved to hear of all that they were doing. His presence will be missed by them.
Steve touched many lives on different levels and he will be missed by many.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the hospitals for the compassion and care shown to Steve over the last few weeks.
At Steve’s request, there will be no funeral service. Plant a tree in memory of Steve, as he loved the outdoors or plan a day to spend with family in memory of Steve, as time spent with family is important; never wait until it is too late.
Donations may be made in Steve’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, or a charity of your choice.
Our parents are together again.
