Ted was predeceased by his parents Mary and Andrew Koczan and brothers Clem, Walter, Mike, Raymond and two sisters Louise Stepaniuk and Frances Zinnick.
Ted was born and raised in Melrose Manitoba and worked for 39 years for CN Railways. Ted met Julie, the new school teacher in town in 1957, and they married on January 3rd, 1959 at Cooks Creek. They made their home in Garson, Manitoba where they raised their family for over 50 years. They moved to Beausejour in 2015.
Ted was an avid gardener and Mayor of Garson for 4 years and served on the town council for another 4 years. He also enjoyed calling Bingo at the Garson Hall for nearly 30 years. Ted was a proud volunteer in the community and always willing to give a helping hand.
To many, he was known as “Teddy”. He had a playground structure named after him in Garson called “Teddy’s Buddy Bus”. Ted and Julie enjoyed many trips with friends to places like Florida, Mexico, Hawaii and Arizona. He loved playing cards, going to old time dances, and an avid Blue Jays fan.
Ted was very proud of his children and grandchildren and the lives they have made for themselves. Rest in peace Ted, you will be missed dearly and we love you very much.
Thanks to all the nurses and staff at East Gate Lodge for the kind and compassionate care to Ted while he was there. Also, many thanks to Dr. Partyka for his excellent care while he was in the hospital.

Jesus said: “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also." John 14:1-3
"Asleep in God's beautiful garden, Sheltered from sorrow and pain. Someday when life's journey is over, we shall meet with our loved one again."
