Wayne Jordan

September 15, 1950 — October 26, 2024

After a long and courageous battle, Wayne Jordan, aged 74 years of Beausejour, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Seven Oaks General Hospital.

He is survived by his son Steven, daughter in-law Paula, granddaughter Jordyn, along with older brother Larry, nieces Melinda, Miranda, and nephew Tyson, younger brother Weldon and sister in-law Donna, nieces Courtney, Carly, Julia, and nephew Harrison. He was predeceased by his brother Marvin.

Wayne Kenneth Stavert Jordan was born on September 15, 1950 in Winkler, Manitoba to Harry Russell and Muriel Jordan (nee Henderson). Dad first grew up on the farm near Manitou. The family then moved up north, first to Thompson, MB then eventually to Gilliam in the mid 1960’s. After going to residential school in Cranberry Portage, he moved to Gilliam to work with his parents. After his father retired, he took over the family business building winter roads and various other projects in the north. In 1994 he semi-retired and moved to Beausejour to be closer to his mother. He continued to drive semi trucks hauling into the U.S. and locally for a few years before finally retiring for good.

After Dad retired, he enjoyed going to auction sales and garage sales, always bringing home lots of goodies. He really enjoyed the company of his friends often talking to them for hours on end. Buying and selling trucks and heavy equipment was also a passion of dads. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter Jordyn, she was his pride and joy, spoiling her every chance he got. Dad will be missed by everyone; he was a good soul with a kind heart. Rest In Peace Dad.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, November 5, at 2:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Ave., E., Beausejour, MB with interment to follow on Wednesday, November 6, at 1:00 p.m. in New Haven Cemetery, Manitou, MB
