William Klaprat

It is with great sadness that the family of William Klaprat announces his peaceful passing on Friday, April 5, 2019, at Stony Plains Terrace in Beausejour.

Dad was born to Meta and Julius Klaprat on August 21, 1922, grew up on the family homestead in Whitemouth, marrying Ruth Golke on June 8, 1946. Together, they farmed and raised four children. In their retirement years, mom and dad enjoyed their beautiful property on the Whitemouth River, gardening and many trips visiting family and life-long friends. They got real joy from their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, especially when they all gathered to celebrate Christmas or a milestone birthday or anniversary.

William was predeceased by his loving wife Ruth of 62 years and survived by his children Russell (Heidi), Marilyn (Jack), Dorthy (Henry) and Cheryl (Chris); grandchildren Tonia (Darcy), Terry (Lesley), Trevor, Sheena, Andy, Jim, Tyler (Clare), Carley and great-grandchildren Kayden, Hazel, Nicholas, Jessica and Hudson, as well as many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Dad will be greatly missed by many. We take comfort in knowing that mom and dad are together again for eternity.

A celebration of life will be held at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Ave. East, Beausejour, on May 9th at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church, River Hills, MB. A special thank you to all the staff at Stony Plains, the Beausejour Hospital and Dr. Nic for the wonderful care of our father.

                                                         Rest peacefully Dad
